Access and Equity

Prime Movers Education is committed to the principles of access and equity. Equity is about justice and fair dealing, not necessarily about treating all people the same way and we do not discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, colour, sex or religion. Access ensures that any disadvantaged persons or groups in our community will have the provision of training services. All of our Trainers and Assessors ensure that you will have sufficient resources provided to assist you to successfully complete your course requirements


Literacy and Numeracy Support

If you require literacy or numeracy support we ask that you contact us upon enrolment. The enrolment form also offers an opportunity for you to identify any other particular needs you may have, so please discuss any concerns with us.

Prime Movers Education is committed to providing fair and equitable access to learning for all students and this will be monitored throughout the course. We will work to assist you however you need.

Disability Support

In keeping with the principles of accessibility and equity, and in accordance with our responsibilities as defined under the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, Prime Movers Education is committed to ensuring that you are supported in achieving your goals. Where barriers exist in relation to access, participation and learning outcomes, we will work with you to ensure fair and equitable access and outcomes are achieved, as long as the nature of your disability does not preclude you from completing the training and assessment.

In addition, we will not tolerate any discriminatory behaviour from students in any of our classes.


Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders

Prime Movers Education recognises that all of its courses held in Australia are held on land belonging to first nations peoples. In the absence of a national treaty with first nations and settlers we recognise that we have a responsibility as guests to work with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders to support and assist with any needs and help in any way we can to achieve learning needs.



Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) takes into account previous studies you may have completed as well as your life and work experiences.

The RPL process does not apply to our courses, as continuing education is a necessary part of maintain accreditation. The course is designed to provide an excellent opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas that cannot be achieved any other way.

Cancellation and Refunds

Students are entitled to gain a refund minus administration fee, or transfer to a future course. If you decide that you do not want to attend after enrolment, we do offer a refund of the course fee less a booking fee of $220. A refund will not be granted if the cancellation occurs less than to 1 week prior of the start of your course, this is due to our inability to refill your booking. (This refund is subject to consideration under special circumstances). You will be able to alter your course booking to a more convenient time if done prior to 2 weeks before the start of your course.

If you have attended any part of the course and elect not to complete your course, there will be no refund available. (Any refund is subject to consideration under special circumstances and will be considered on a case by case basis).

Refunds would be made available through the same payments methods which you used to pay for your course. It is a requirement that the workbook be returned intact before any refunds can be processed to:

Student Responsibilities for Assessment

All assessment documentation is to be submitted electronically where not assessed during your live assessments at the training venue. Prime Movers Education will not be held responsible for items of assessment that are submitted electronically until we actually receive them. Results will be retained by us for a period of 6 months following your completion, after which time they will be destroyed.  Prime Movers Education strongly advises you to retain a screenshot of your successfully submitted online assessment.

Workplace Health and Safety

Prime Movers Education is committed to establishing, maintaining and enforcing a safe system that focuses on:

  • A safe work environment

  • A risk management approach to safety

  • Preventing injury/illness

  • Complying with legislative requirements


If, at any time during your training program, you identify hazards in the workplace please notify your trainer immediately. Trainers regularly review venues and assets to identify and mitigate risks. All hazards are reported to our venue hosts.


Appeals and Complaints

Prime Movers Education is committed to dealing with complaints and appeals in a timely and constructive way. If you wish to make a complaint or an appeal concerning any aspect of our course, please refer to the following process:



You have the right to make an appeal against the assessment decisions made by Prime Movers Education. Appeals should be made within ten (10) working days of the original decision having been made

An appeal against an assessment decision can be make on the following grounds:

  • You were not provided with a clear explanation of the assessment process,

  • Your needs were not taken into consideration where appropriate,

  • The assessment process did not meet the requirements of the accrediting peak bodies,

  • You genuinely believe there has been an administrative error in the calculation of your assessment marks; or,

  • You believe there is bias or you believe your trainer is incompetent.



We recommend that you should attempt to informally resolve any issues with appropriate Prime Movers Education staff

If unsuccessful, you should lodge a formal complaint in writing to the Manager at:

We will seek to resolve all complaints within 60 days of receipt, and where a longer period is likely to be required, we will advise in writing the reasons for this.


Prime Movers Education is committed to providing a safe caring environment where all employees have a right to work free from discrimination, harassment and bullying. Discrimination may be defined as unfair or prejudicial treatment of individuals or groups of individuals based on personal attributes, characteristics, idiosyncrasies or associations.


Sexual harassment can be regarded as any form of unwelcome sexual attention that is offensive, intimidating or humiliating.

Racial harassment is defined by harassment on the basis of race, which can vary from relatively minor abuse to actual physical violence.

If you ever have a complaint concerning Discrimination, you should refer to the steps outlined in the Grievance Policy above.

Privacy Policy

Prime Movers Education is obliged to maintain effective administrative and records management systems. This involves the retention of student records. All staff must be scrupulous in using participant information only for the purposes for which it was gathered.

Participants must have access to their own training records at all times. Should it be deemed necessary, information about your records can only be divulged to a third party with the written consent of the participant.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

Prime Movers Education is committed to the principle of continuous improvement. This is articulated in our Continuous Improvement Plan. This Plan aims to support and strengthen compliance with standards for an organisation accredited by peak industry bodies to deliver PDP/CEC recognised qualifications.

Environmental Commitment

Prime Movers Education is committed to reducing the carbon impacts associated with delivering the course. This is achieved through the following actions:

-Recycling all waste materials, including soft plastics through special recycling programs

-Reducing carbon emissions associated with travelling to venues by using low emission rail and public transport where possible, selecting training venues with access to public transport, using carbon offsets for flights and use of lower emission vehicles as a last resort to reach venues and to transport resources associated with the course where no other alternative is present

-Eliminating waste associated with catering by asking students to bring their own comestibles for the course - this eliminates the possibility of food waste and any single use plastic packaging associated with in-venue catering

-Planning and implementing an end of life strategy for equipment used in delivering the course, to divert life expired equipment from landfill and preventing the creation of microplastic waste.
